Hi! My name is Carole and welcome to Carole Food!

What kind of recipes will you find on here?

Carole Food is all about sharing easy, accessible and quick recipes that are inspired by different cuisines from around the world. My mum is from Trinidad so you’ll often find Caribbean influenced dishes, and I’m frequently inspired by different dishes from the countries I’ve travelled to. However, I live in England and favour making simple recipes with ingredients that aren’t too tricky to source. So here you’ll find lots of accessible recipes with short ingredient lists!

I’m also keen to ensure the majority of my recipes aren’t too expensive, so you’ll find lots of cheaper vegetarian dishes on here too. And in particular, I love beans and pulses!

A bit about myself

I studied Economics and Philosophy at the London School of Economics and during this time I discovered my love for cooking (eating was my first love). I then went on to work in a couple of bakeries before training to be a chef full time in 2017.

I've worked as a catering chef, a food stylist (the first book I styled was released in 2020) and a recipe developer. I developed baking recipes for Helen Goh (co-author of Sweet with Ottolenghi) and I was also the Head Recipe Developer for the leading halal recipe box in the UK.

I started my Instagram back in February 2023 and currently have over 100,000 followers (with over 100,000 on TikTok too).
